PRICED in two tiers by prompt length, and the price fields carry the base tier for prompts <=100K tokens: $0.10 in / $0.50 out, 5m cache write $0.125, 1h cache write $0.20, cache hits $0.01 per MTok. Prompts >100K tokens are billed 5x ($0.50/M input, $2.50/M output, $0.625/M 5m cache write, $1/M 1h cache write, $0.05/M cached). Batch API: 50% discount on input and output. Text and images in, text out. Adaptive thinking; effort defaults to medium. 1M context, 128K max output (300K via the Batch API beta). Reliable knowledge cutoff Jun 2026; training data cutoff Jun 2026. Tool-use system prompt overhead 286 tokens (406 for any/tool). Uses the newer tokenizer, so the same text counts as ~30% more tokens than on Claude Haiku 4.5 (Anthropic's own figure). Added 2026-10-08, one day after release.
